Coming back from the Pocono race a couple weeks ago the Jagerbago started to back fire.  It never did before and I cant understand why but I think it has to do with the battery switch.  I would have never thought that but when I turned on the lights before we left 5am on Monday morning it backfired.  Camper didnt want to run at all.  About 5 blocks from home backfired a couple times and then died out and then wouldnt start.  After work I got it started and make it home.  The reason I think its the battery switch is that will run great with the "MOM" side held in.  I know I shouldnt do this but I had no choice but after think about it the switch wont hold in the "DUAL" position so I figure it must be the switch.  Has anyone ever had this happen to them before and how did the fix it???  I bought a new switch already, just waiting for it to get here.

Thanks for the help

Several possibilities present themselves:

You could have a bad ground.
You could have dirty battery connections on the vehicle battery.
The ignition control module could be going bad... when they do, they tend to suck voltage away from the voltage regulator and cause intermittent charging.
Your voltage regulator could be going bad, but not the most likely possibility.
Your alternator could be going out.

The fact that you have to kick the house batteries in to get it to start and run tells me that there isn't enough juice getting to the battery to charge it, and there isn't enough system voltage to keep it running.

Could be a bad battery, too.

Or a bad ground.
