Electrical System Manual ?

I have been on my back for the last two days trying to understand the battery/electrical system on Rose.  She is of 1970 manufacture and I would like to find some sort of maual that explains her electrical workings.  Right now, the way I got her, she has one battery in the battery compartment.  There are cut off cables for another, a  red that goes to a manual switch under the dash.  It appears the switch allows you to use the second battery for  reserve starting . I have no clue as to the rest of its capabilities. Hm?

One battery is used for the chassis (car type battery)
One battery is used for the coach (deep cell type battery)
Here is a basic functional diagram but there is a lot more to learn.
Have any RV buddies nearby?
