Does anyone know what the air filter inside the cab and below left of the driver's seat is for?

I understand that the air filter ties into the brake system.  I am sure others will give you a more completed description.

Its the air inlet to the brake booster or boosters, so the atmospheric air that makes those boosters work will be clean, and not gum up the inside of the diaphram chamber. Its one of the few maintenance parts I have not replaced yet.

Thanks Beatty and Denison
I'm sure mine needs replacement as well.

Terry;

The old Fram number for that part is CA-2PL1. If you go to NAPA ask for a Wicks filter part number 2720. My local Napa had it in stock.
