Good question, Have you  considered taking it to a truck scale?

Good answer Stripe, but it doesn't run right now and someone is thinking about trailering it to their place to work on it.  Surely can't be any heavier than a medium tractor-mounted backhoe??

The eHow site on the interweb said: A 1973 Winnebago D-20 Specifications are:

  • The Winnebago D-20 Brave model motor home is 20 feet 11 inches in length, 7  feet 9 inches in width, and has an exterior height of 9 feet 9 inches. The D-20  model motor home has a Dodge RM-300  chassis, with a gross weight of 11,000 lb. The D-20 has a 125-inch wheel base.  The D-20 has a V-8 318 cubic inch engine with fuel filtration and electric  ignition. The D-20 has power steer and power front disc brakes. The D-20 has two  70 amp-hour batteries and a 36-gallon fuel tank.
Are the 72 & 73 really that different?  Weight seems high but we all know it has to be true because its on my AOL on the interweb.

My 75 D21 Brave is 8500 pounds dry weight. They are probably close.:D

I think you're right on acenjason.  The plan is to winch it onto a drop down low-boy and haul it to its new home for more extensive rehabilitation.  That low-boy could probably haul several of these.  Thanks to all for input.
