New or used Marine Coach Batteries?

I need to replace the house batteries in my 1985 Minnie Winnie, there were none when I bought it. First question, can I use marine batteries? I can get two used about a year for a good price. Second question, is it a good idea to not just buy two new batteries? I am new at this and am finding out what I should have been looking for before I bought the RV. It is ours now and I am doing my best to fix what I can. Thanks! Don

If you think the batteries are good and test good for charging and holding a charge, sure, get them.  You can also get like-new, refurbished batteries for a good price, especially if you have a Battery Warehouse or similar battery shop which sells refurbished ones.
