For anyone interested Flight Systems ( listed in the club resource list )  has a new testing tool for certain models of Onan generators - it is called the " Point Man Regulator Breakout Box " and  is a tool that allows you to plug into the wiring harness between the generator and voltage regulator so that you can do several tests (with a multimeter) that are listed on their website page - this is the same as the Onan factory tool ( mucho dollars !! )   but at a fraction of the cost  - this is the same kind of tool auto makers have been using for years especially Ford - click on the 'Generators & ATS Controls'  link on their home page - the generator service tools are at the bottom of that link/page - www.flightsystems.com
