Use dash air conditioning or bypass the condenser?

Should I use air conditioner from vents while driving or bypass the AC compressor?

That depends on your comfort level.  If you drive in hot temps, the dash AC can make a world of difference if you pull the behind cab curtain across so the dash air only has to cool the cab.


Bypassing the condenser (you may need a different size belt) will reduce the load on the engine and may... may save you a little on gas mileage.

I got in about 400 miles behind the wheel. The fans kick in depending on outside temps it seems. Hotter day more times it has kicked in. I have some work to do. Where is the temp sensor? I have no temp reading. Been flying blind by feel.

Still did not track down the temp gauge. Will be looking tomorrow after the Packer game.
