I have a 1984 chevy g30 chasis winebago mini WIni.

I'm. Curious how I find rear brakes since I'm. Almost sure the rear end on her isn't the standard g30 rear.

Ps hello Rick and tj

So how do I find brake pads drum spring kit and drums?

Rickf1985

Single wheel or dual wheel? Being a 1 ton the rear is more than likely a 14 bolt corporate. It will use the same brakes as a 0ne ton dually pickup if it is the dual wheel setup. But to verify you need to pull a drum and measure the diameter and the width of the shoes. Once a parts store has that they should have no problem getting the parts. Can you get a picture of the differential cover?

I'll get on that in a couple days.  We had to replace all 7 tires.  The two outer dually blew and one front within a week.  Never knew about bias ply and thirty six year old tires.

Didn't even have a jack.  Luckily had roadside assistence. $1200.00  for 7 8.00/16.6 lt

I finally got under my rig and took a couple pics.  I didn't know any other place to post them so I posted them on my Facebook page.

I'm seeing in one Pic either 5488 or 548B. 5488 came up Internacional while 548B is a chevy truck but no g30

See what you all come up with

Thanks in advance Mr fox

After looking at aot of pictures I have to agree Rick.  I think it's a corporate 14 bolt.  But knowing this how do we know what shoes spring kit and drum it uses?

AliceKelly

Let me guess.  Take off one side and measure the shoe and drum then find someone who sells that size?

Oz

Yes, as Rick said, you'll need to measure.  Advance Auto, Auto Zone, eBay.  Shouldn't be hard to find since their compatible with 1 ton.

Except autozone oriley and  advance auto don't / can't search parts by a measured size.  I've been totally blown away by their stupidity.  I've been escorted off the property for asking for a quadrajet electric choke kit.  Or chevy door locks.

They look in a computer for year make and model.  If you don't know the truck that was made with that axel and brakes you won't get parts.  They don't have anything for a motorhome... Or so they keep telling me.  Doesn't matter what chasis I tell them it's built on

AliceKelly

I think I figured it out.  An 84 c30 came with a 14 bolt corporate..  So I'll just tell them that.

It might. I think I'm. Looking for 13 x 3 1/2  but it could be 4.0.  The drums I hope can be resurfaced

How is drum bolt size etc measured?

And rightfully so!  Well, I can tell you one person who would know for sure.
