Mr.Mantovanelli

Hello everyone!

Just picked up a 1976 Chieftain d26crk chassis.  This will be a custom build, but I do need help with brake and steering parts.

Did some online research and nothing,  can someone please shoot me on the right direction?
I greatly appreciate it!

Thank you in advance!

Hi Thank you for the reply.

I need a complete brake rebuild or adapt modern brakes, she has been sitting for 10 years, caliper rebuild kits or reman calipers etc.. booster and master cillinder....The steering box needs a resealed and tie rod ends.

i plan on putting a Cummins diesel on her so she needs to stop and steer well.

Search in the Dodge section for brake info, and whatever other helpful info there is for you? Good Luck

Thank you BAMBAM
Love the page and so much useful information, still no steering box reseal info.
I will definitely search more in the forum.

As for the steering box issue, pick a topic and do some readin. Most likely it's a bad O-ring or worn gasket. Good Luck

You might want to buy the Dodge Service manual to assist your quest.  Answers most all chassis related questions.

Glad to see someone else using DuckDuckGo as their search engine!  It is all I use anymore.

Dear Mr. Mantovanelli,

I bought a remanufactured steering gearbox and steerandgear.com
The box is great and international shipping was no issue.
Good luck!

Best,
Lloyd
