Hey all, when I am ordering a new Drag Link for my Winnie, besides M300 chassis, what can I tell them so I get the right one.  everyone wants to know what chassis it is, but they dont know what to say when I say M300.  It is the same as a D300?

And I would be glad to know your source, if they got you the correct part, and what it cost, although mine takes a different part number I think. denison

Erik,
The M-300 means motorhome chassis.  The D-300 is the 1 ton pick-up chassis.  One many occasions I have ordered parts using the D-300 classification and have never had any problem.  The D-300 and the M-300 are very much the same, or so I have been told.

Dave, The Napa book only goes back to 1974 for theM-300, M-400 chassis. Here's the part # ; NCP # 272-4103 . Fits 1974-1978 M-300, M-400,RM-400 chassis  It may be the saame as yours, I didn't have one in stock, or I would have taken some measurements for you. Lefty

Erik -

Please contact me on Monday at the warehouse and I will be happy to quote you price and match size and style.

This should be a dogbone, two ball stud ends, 90 degrees opposed, possibly with a very slight bend at one end 4-6 inches down - measure the total length from centerline of the ball socket to the other centerline. Be accurate as there are a couple of parts which are only one inch apart...

You should have king pins, not ball joints. Please verify.

Call Geoff at 508-788-9409 after 11 am EDT.

Regards,

Geoff

Geoff, sorry I havent called, but I have a length for my Drag Length.  Its 25 inches from center to center of the ball joints, which are a a right angle from each other.  it also has a slight bend in it as you said.  Thanks again, you may post the part number and price here if you choose.
