Greetings!  We are having many repairs done on our Winnie, & they said we need a new housing since ours is leaking fuel.  It had a broken clip when it went to the shop, but wasn't leaking.  Now they cannot seem to locate this replacement part for us.  Any ideas of where to get one?  They told us it wasn't an OEM & they are difficult to find original.
Thanks so much!  Hm?

Thanks for the quick idea Madathlon, but our fuel filter is not round.  It's rectangular & is for diesel.

That is a complete replacement for a diesel fuel filter set up and is a direct replacement for a Fuel Filter Housing GM Duramax 6.6L 2001-2010 COMPLETE w/Extras - NEW

That's is what you need.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duramax_V8_engine        You see this is a diesel engine

Thanks for all the info Madathlon!  We have passed it over to our repairman in hopes he can use it.  We are still waiting to hear back, but I wanted to thank you in the meantime.  I'll let you know as soon as we do. We r getting anxious to try her out on a road trip, but she wasn't reliable enough yet.  W%

Wow, these repairs take a loooong time!  I'm sorry I didn't get back about the fuel filter housing solution sooner.  They would not install another one like Madathlon described.  They ended up repairing the housing and it is working well.  We had a list of things as long as your arm & they repaired many of them.  At least we can now drive it a couple hours and not get stuck somewhere.  We are actually planning to take a trip up into north Georgia mountains next week.  I will let you know how we survive the heat. This is a great forum! :)clap And here is the best part. We had it parked in our side yard before it was road worthy (which annoyed some neighbors).  But now we park it in our driveway ready to go, which annoys even more of our neighbors.

I wish this OP were online more often, this is a cool rig.  A Class A built on a Chevy truck chassis with the 6.2L diesel.  Very cool.

For advice on the engine, the OP or anyone else for that matter, would be better off consulting on a 6.2 / 6.5 diesel page, or contact SSD , someone tried to sell her on a Duramax filter housing above lol.

My 'burb just rolled 300,000 miles this weekend, it's a 6.5L TD, similar engine as the 6.2L .  Very easy and cheap to work on and maintain.  Duramax is totally different
