I'm not sure if the Chiefton or however you spell that is the same as the Ela'ndan 2 but Id love to get a manual for this thing. Any suggestions? W%

Hard copies on eBay or Bishko, if you don't mind paying out the wahzoo for one.
That service manual is the best and WELL worth the price compared to what you will find on Ebay. :)ThmbUp
Here is a link to a brochure for your RV as well. It's not an owners manual, but it's a start..

Thundercloud,
The chassis mfg (Dodge M500 in your case) produces a manual for the chassis. That is what Mark and Fredrick pointed to.http://www.classicwinnebagos.com/forum/Smileys/default/doh.gif (http://www.classicwinnebagos.com/forum/Smileys/default/doh.gif)
The Winnebago house portion is a different story
1) There is the operators manual (Winnebago P/N 054185-03-000) which you can purchase from Winnebago. We do have the 78 version in the
Free Manuals Section (http://www.classicwinnebagos.com/forum/index.php/page,page300.html) which should be close enough to yours.
2) Winnebago Parts book (http://catalog.winnebagoind.com/menu/Parts.htm) I do not know the length of your rig but it would be either a WDU27RT, WDU29RB, or WDU32RU. You will also need the 1979 Common parts book (http://www.winnebagoind.com/service/wincd/1979/79common.pdf) to complete that.
3) You can try contacting Winnebago (http://www.winnebagoind.com/contact/index.php (http://www.winnebagoind.com/contact/index.php)) for House electrical and plumbing diagrams however they do not post them online.

Hey thanks you guys. Yeah that's a big help because I do all the mechanical, electrical myself for the most part. That might scare the tailgaters off huh? Just have a bumper stickers that says I'm not a certified mechanic and I do all the work on this "CAUTION" :)rotflmaof
