What head gasket is used on a 1988 Winnebago. I was told that it was a special one cuz a heavy duty water jackets or something is that true or can I just use one out of like a p30 truck. I have white smoke coming out of my tailpipe steam and water dripping.
the 454 is the same as in every other Chevy 2500 / 3500 Truck P30 from the same time period. No need to look for "Winnebago"
Check your intake gaskets first. The intake gaskets fail more often and have similar symptom as you are experiencing.
Fel pro gaskets would be a very reliable product. Paying close attention to your intake manifold gasket is highly recommended. Do you have a carb on that engine? That would make a difference perhaps that is.
