Greetings,
I've recently been diving into my new 72 Indian. After flushing the cooling system and finally bringing her up to temp the old water pump started leaking like a sieve. I pulled her off just to find that it's the ol' 5 bolt type. I have scoured the forum and the internet in general and can't seem to find anything short of a rebuilt unit on eBay for just shy of 500 big ones. Long story short, I'm trying to find out if there is a cheaper alternative seeing as between the exhaust manifold leak I just found and this "$500 water pump" I have half a mind to just replace the whole motor and save me the headache. Any info/input is greatly appreciated!
