Title: Rub rail early 70's winnebago
Post by: Finespine on May 24, 2021, 12:04 AM
Hello to all the knowledgeable RVer's. I could use you help. Ever since I have seen the winnebago truck idea I can't get it out of my head. I can get a winnebago cheap do to the roof leaking and I have done some research on reskinning the exterior but was wondering if there is any place repoping the rub rails? Or what is out there that is similar.

Rub rails?  Do you mean the side molding?  If so, no, there's no place that makes them the same.  You can use what you can get from salvage/part outs, or buy wide, aftermarket replacement.  Note that the mouding covers the seams between the upper body and lower skirting sections.

Yes that is what I'm looking, for the mounding that's between the sid skirt and mid body siding. Thanks for confirming my suspicions Oz, I was thinking it wasn't being remanufactured as I couldn't find it anywhere. Anybody know of anything close to the original stuff out there?

Do you have a pic and how many feet do you need?
