Title: Dodge M-500 Front brake pad part numbers
Post by: turbinebronze on February 02, 2020, 08:31 PM
Hi Dave. I used your page for the front brake pad part numbers on my M-500. (Very handy! Thanks!) I did find 2 different size front pads for the same front axle. (Maybe I was looking at the page wrong??)  I took a pic of each and of all the part numbers I found for each. I thought you'd like the numbers to check and maybe use.
   Hope this helps,  Craig

Brake pad style numbers (e.g. 7020-D87 & 7019-D269) are based on the FMSI numbering system.

7019-D269 was used on the smaller M300 rigs with the single piston caliper.

7020-D87 was used on the larger M400, M500, and M600 rigs with the dual piston caliper.

Each brake pad mfg produces different quality pads (standard, premium, etc.) and the other letter codes used (MX, PD, MGD, PF, UP, TS, etc.) in a part number represent those different pad qualities.
