Title: Brake Parts for 1972 Winnebago Chieftain 22'
Post by: Whalerho on January 03, 2020, 08:38 AM
I am having difficulties to locate brake hardware (springs) for my motorhome.  It has an M375 chassis which I have been able to locate the wheel cylinders for but not the brake hardware.  Anyone know of a good source?

Thanks

Dave's place has Napa up2243 listed as the spring kit.

The pictures of the broken springs he sent me do not match up to either of the 2 standard styles of brake systems (Duo-Servo and Twinplex) used on the rear of the Dodge MH chassis.  I would need pictures of the setup (pre disassembly) and brake drum size (e.g. 14 x 3) in order to do any sort of search for repair parts.

When you get more pics get a pic of the differential cover also because someone may have swapped in a differential from another vehicle. A 14 bolt corp rear from a Chevy comes to mind since they are very heavy duty, cheap and easy to find, military versions have 4:56 gears and lockers already in them and parts availability is endless. Of coarse in saying that I just realized the lug bolt pattern would be different wouldn't it? 8 on 6 1/2
