So, I Cant seem to find anywhere peoples recommendations for Power Steering Fluid for the hydroboost System.
The part numbers in the manual bring up nothing at the shop.
Do the majority of Power Steering Fluids accommodate Hydroboost?
I bought some Royal Purple Max Ez. because its the only thing that said. Compatible with Hydraulic Power Steering System.
I'll wait on a reply before I add. lol
Thanks everyone.
I have always used Dexron in mine. Never any problems. The owners manual suggests Dexron in place of the Mopar Hydroboost fluid in an emergency.
What is in there now? Is it red? If so it is dexron or equivalent and I would go with that. The only concern I would have with the Royal Purple is that it is a synthetic and is it compatible with the dexron? I have used hydraulic oil in my Jeep due to the high stress's I put on it but I purged out all of the tranny fluid first. And yes, I have Hydroboost on my CJ-7. I don't really think you need to go that far.
I do remember Reading (Incase of emergency)
I'll compare the two fluids and see if the vehicle is using ATF in the power steering.
