Title: the final poop on winnebago D18 window seals
Post by: dave shep on August 28, 2019, 05:51 PM

all,

I've read all the forum items on window seals and have on order what I believe the available seals and U channel for my 1973 D18.  (2309-01, 2324-01, 24096-01)

Some advice as to the following would be helpful:

1. Is it possible to replace the seals and U channel without removing the entire window frame?

2. What kind of problems may I face?

3. Any hints as to how to start..  Do I need to remove the inner ring?

4.  The unavailable stationary rear window moldings 2283-01, I am hoping the front 24096-01 will do the job...

5.  I have no mullions...  I assume they were metal and fuzzy stuff.  Any recommendations?  Velcro tape fuzzy stuck on window? etc..

thanks much..

taking a window out really isn't a big deal. you may want one size over the stock fastener (screw) to be able to embed the inner ring back into the wall material.
