Hi,
I recently purchased my 78 Brave and it doesn't have a spare tire. It has 8R17.5 tires on it and I am having no luck finding another 17.5 wheel. Does anyone know where I can find one? I have tried salvage yards around here and called wheel manufacturers with no luck. They are evidently "coined" wheels and I am told that is obsolete. What does coined mean?
Thanks, Brian
If a 215 75r 17.5 is the same size I may be able to help you out.
with a new Bridgestone tire and coined rim.

I think a 215 75R17.5 is probably close to an 8R17.5. I will check. Also, thanks for the pic detailing what a coined rim is. Makes sense now! :)ThmbUp
Be patient there out there.
I hope you noticed I also provided links to sources for the rims
Yes Dave, I sure did! Thanks for the help. :)
Sir.
Are you still looking for a tire and rim?
If so P.M. me.
I'm headed to ND this weekend.
Sorry, I didn't see your post until today. I found a '77 Chieftain that I purchased for parts and it had 6 wheels. :)ThmbUp Thanks for the offer.
