I have been looking for 2 years for a nice Winnie. I prefer the 76 Chieftans with a real bed. Hard to find one that is not all rotted. I did come across a 1972 D222 that is 1700 miles away. It is probably the nicest I have ever seen. Has sat indoors for a long time, Shines like new and the interior is redone nicely. The cupboards are original and flawless. New upholstery. I suppose it is an M300. Were they drum brakes? Other than fluids and new tires what could I encounter due to age? Has new brakes( cylinders, master, boosters and brake hoses). I don't know if the aluminum sidewalls have any corrosion or delam According to the Winnie brochure it has 16 inch tires. But I have not asked the owner if that is correct. I restored an older MH once and the diff front seal leaked as well as the rear engine seal! Any tips appreciated.
I think she has drum brakes up front
