I do have the original owners manual but it doesn't say where the starter is... i??
The starter is covered in section (group) 8, Reduction Gear Starter. It's not the easiest to find, for sure. The location is shown on page 8-17. On the 318, 413 & 440, the starter is located in the same place. On the driver's side, to the rear, where the engine is mated to the transmission.
This is what my page 16 looks like, I'm guessing I have a basic manual and missing the technical one?
Ah, yes. You have the owner/operator manual. Useful for how to operate things, but yes, you'll need the Service manual.
