Title: Frozen propane valve
Post by: coastalgal on April 01, 2011, 06:25 AM
While on my first over night outing in my '83 Winnebago Warrior (which ran like a top) I wanted to open the propane valve for the stove and furnace. It is stuck tight. I was the one to close it a couple months ago and haven't run those appliances since. Now it won't turn. (Righty tighty, lefty loosey)
Any suggestions how to free it? Is there a tool to use so I don't break anything? I'm single and there are no strong men around that I'd ask for assistance.
Thanks, Elaine

A good long set of pliers on it may help with more leverage. You may also want to spray a bit of WD40 or PTBlaster around the base of the valve.
