Hi all,

I am preparing to install an external electric fuel pump to solve the vapor lock issues I have been having.  I am planning on installilng it near the fuel tank on the outside of the frame rails.  Along with the electric pump I will be including a pressure regulator and check valve so the mechanical pump can still draw fuel in the event of a failure with the electric pump.

Just wondering if anybody out there has pictures of a similar install.

Thanks in advance.

We did the same thing your talking about, fixed all our 10% ethanol vapor lock issues. I wish I had a pic i?? by the time I get to the rv, you will probably have yours built! I didn't install a regulator...We used the small red holley pump, and it works beautifully...cures the vapor lock instantly, or we just run with the electric on...

The Chevrolet Motor Home Chassis Service Guide, available for free in the Manuals section of the Members Area, has an excellent write up about how to do this.  Page 7-40 (pdf page 135).  It is part of the Vapor Lock Cause and Cure Appendix (7-7)
