Plug size for exhaust mainfold with A.I.R system removed?

What did you use to plug the holes on the exhaust manifold when you removed the tubing that goes to the valves? i??
steel plugs? what size and tread?

The threads are metric M22 x 1.5. This is the same as a Dodge 5.9 Cummins diesel oil pan drain plug.
