Title: Do I have a fuel pump and where is it?
Post by: My.winnebago.tribe on October 01, 2020, 03:52 PM
I replaced my mechanical fuel pump but I'm unaware if or where my electrical fuel pump is. I don't hear one in the tank. I had my ear directly to it and even opened the gas cap and I heard nothing. I really don't see anything under neath either.
I have a 1986 Winnebago chieftain Chevy p30 454 engine

Oh, there's one in the tank alright.
You have to drop it to get to it or cut an access hole in the floor, which several have done.

That in tank fuel pump is a common problem.

Do a search on it.  Youll find a wealth of info!
