Title: output wiring for new converter from phillips 301 a2 convertor
Post by: mobilesport on March 08, 2017, 09:57 PM
I'm not familar with the older convertors and i've heard that i can swap in a modern
convertor , the thing that confuses me is the old convertor has many wires coming
out of it but the modern convertor only has a single positive and a single negative
output.
How do i wire the output of a new convertor to all of these wires of the rv
(dodge brougham motorhome 1973)
or do i need to run all new wires and lights etc.

The manual for your current converter is in the Site Members area.

There is DC fuse panel that is used to distribute 12VDC to different circuits in the rear of the Phillips.

Here is a thread discussing how to upgrade it http://www.classicwinnebagos.com/forum/index.php?topic=9224.0 (http://www.classicwinnebagos.com/forum/index.php?topic=9224.0)

Dave is the go to guy for questions like yours.
If you have yet to buy a replacement, highly recommend you try Best Converters.

Many here have used them and I have yet to see a complaint. Randy on their site can help, supply and walk you thru anything you need.
