Title: Mini split A/C, Heat units
Post by: Easternmost Winnebago on July 24, 2017, 09:21 AM
O.k. I'm going out on a limb here and am thinking of adapting a mini split heat pump w/A/C to my '89 33RQ.  Does anyone have experience with these units? i have one in our house and it runs constantly and i haven't even noticed a difference in my electric bill.  I Also heard that some of these units are 12 volts but have house current converters in them. We are planning on installing multiple Solar panels and a large dual battery banks to power stuff to cut down on propane/Generator use.

I saw a thread while surfing one night where a guy mounted one in a trailer and apparently it worked quite well. Don't know about the voltage bit. I have seen other posts around about using them so I guess they work.
