Planned trip to La La land. Tentative schedule:
Hitch up small UT trailer to Magic Bus and load 2002 Suzuki Bandit 1200S with sidecar. Leave Mon 10/6 for CA. Stay at buddies house in Green Valley CA on new RV pad from arrival until the 12th. Morning of the 12th head for Griffith Park for the 43rd annual sidecar rally (yes, I was at the first). After the rally it's off to Bishop CA for a week or so of lying about catching fish, then off to Death Valley for few days, home after that.

About 2000mi.
Trip's off, more retinal surgery for me in Oct.
Laser panretinal photocoagulation and membrane striping. Kind of a fine tuning of the previous surgeries.
Health comes first, travel later.
That really stinks. Hope all goes well with your procedures though and that you'll still be able to make a trip soon after.
