Title: Axel identification
Post by: 76minnie on June 28, 2015, 04:44 AM
Any idea how to identify axel? It's a mb400 chassis, 1976 Minnie Winnie, 23rb with a 360. I.D. Tag doesn't say what rear end. Looking to do brakes, bearings and fluid change. Any help would be great. Thx in advance

Might be  pain working through this one.  You will most likely have to pull a rear wheel and determine if you have 12" x 3" or 13" x 13.5" brakes.  All the information I have is for 78-81 era and I hope it can be applied to 76.

I will be removing the rear wheels today to install air bags. So I'll be able to pull the drums off. Thank you for the start of unraveling the mystery Dave, I'll get the measurements👍🏻

It's a spicer 70. I didn't get a chance to look up parts on it. Air bags are pretty great though. Huge improvement
