Title: M400 and front air helper springs
Post by: PMUT on November 29, 2021, 03:47 PM
Hi all,

do you know of any front air bag kit for an M400 chassis?
I would like to improve the stability and provide support for the 40 years old leaf springs, without replacing them.

From the specs but maybe the need of building own mounting brackets, the Air Lift 57140 should be a feasible base kit - or?

Many Greetings
Ulrich

Front air bag kits for Dodge M series front were discontinued years ago and there are none currently manufactured.  I know the bags on the front are different than the rear.  Yes, you would have to fabricate mounts.

I've fitted SumoSprings in the back of my P30
https://www.superspringsinternational.com/sumosprings/

Also got them in my Pickup Truck front and rear.
They are an amazing product - you find a ton of different mounts (ebay, amazon)  and various spring rates. (yellow, black blue)

Look them up -maybe fit for your project.

They are like progressive springs and additional shock absorbers in one.  Making a very cushy ride.

Hi all,

thanks for reply. I will order the set and will build own mounts.
I come back after the job has been done with details.

Many Greetings
