Title: Need Instrument panel light dimmer

I am looking for someone who knows where to get a new dimmer switch for Instrument lights. Also dose anyone know
what voltage reg for instrument will work?

Not familiar with the older units, is it part of the headlight switch?

No it is a separate rotary switch

That would likely mean that it's just a variable resistor.  Generally they are stamped with their values on them.  If you can get it out it would help.  They are also called potentiometers.  In this application, the resistance would (likely) be 0 lights all the way bright, to some amount of ohms (resistance) to dim the lights.


It's probably going to be easier for you to find a replacement for what I've described than what most of us have.


I'm not sure about the second part of your question.  Are the instruments not working?

Is this the instrument regulator you are looking for?

Dodge had the instrument cluster dimmer in the Headlight switch.  If that is not where yours is at then TRAVCO changed the design.
