Sitting in the drivers seat is uncomfortable and the steering wheel is too high and a bad angle.  Me thinks the angle can be changed with a little redesign of the steering gear brackets.  The wheel also seems to tall and seems to be like the old milk truck steering.  Maybe the wheel is a bit large too.  I guess raising the seat would help.  My eyes are just a bit higher than the dash.  I am 5ft and 10 inches.
Anyone changed the seats???   Frank

Yup, many of us have.  Most any seat will fit on the original base without modification.

Here's mine:

You just made my day!!!!!! I am just getting into a 1984 Winnebago, and both seats are broken - let alone hideous. Off to the Salvage Yard - thank you so much! :)clap
