I spent most of the Holidays dissassembling the door on my 70 Dodge Commander and it is much less flexable now, but I have found that the Bargman L300 and aftermarket deadbolt both beyond reuse. Since Bargman locksets were also used on Air$treams, the new ones are waaaaay too much money. So what have you guys used to get around this? (Pictures a big plus!) Also, I bought a new aftermarked deadbolt from Wallyworld, and found that the aluminum frame was so shallow that the one installed could not have possible ever worked. Any suggestions for a very shallow deadbolt?

Iv'e got a lock and latch from a dodge Commander. year 1977. Ive got a few parts from it i can let go at a deal if need be.

There's a Dodge Commander on CL as parts for $800 or so.

Let me know and we can work out a plan.
I like the Commander RV's as it is. so seeing one will make my day.

Home Depot has a mobile home dead bolt that I got for my motorhome.  It is thinner than normal.  Fit fine in my door.  I also saw it at WalMart but they aren't known for a wide selection in this department.  It was about $10.00.
