So as I been searching I come to need more info. I have a 73 D20 Brave with 8-17.5 tires and 8 lug wheels. I do have the dual piston calibers on the front end and the 440 under the hood. I would like to change over to more common tire sizes radials.

So first what wheels will fit from what truck?

Then the best fit tires to go with the wheels?

There is a lots of stuff on the rim swap on the forum.  8 lug on 6.5 in bolt pattern is a common wheel, the problem is the dual pistons on the calipers.  There are new 16 inch coined rims available.  They run from $75-100 each. I found plenty of 8 lug coined 16 in rims in the junk yard but almost all we bent someway and they wanted $35 each for them.  Find one and see if it will fit over the front brake calipers.  If not some have went to 19.5's.  Keep us in formed.

another thought, my 68 Ford has rims on the front with no off set, would a no off set rim work in the front ?  The duals with drum brakes are no problem.   My tires are 235/85/16 E rating 120 load range
