Hi everyone;

Am in need of a choke - or "Element & Choke Cover" - for my Onan 5.0 BGA 3CR/16004A genset.

Found out why it wasn't pulling the choke all the way "off" (see pic for broken element wire). D:oH!
New one runs ~$70,  p/n 153-0114
The choke spring is ok.
The only visible numbers on the outside cover of mine are:  "153-"  then a faint, tilted "1".

If anyone has a good used one they'd be willing to sell me, please let me know.

Here's what it looks like:

So you found a 0153-0114 cover with element. I can say I'm impressed consider I am sitting on like the last four boxes (New Old Stock) that anyone can get. (And they're not for sale)

I love to see what you paid for it and where you also found it at.

After months of looking, found one (NOS) on eBay...  cost me about $38, delivered.

Local Cummins/Onan shop has them, for $70 +/-, too.  I did ask if they could confirm it and they said "Yes, it was confirmed available" (out of Denver, I think?).
