Older Coleman roof Air Conditioner needs Lubrication

For those who may have an older Coleman AC unit, be aware that the blower motor in it may have oil fittings installed. 

You have to pull get on the roof and remove the cover off to see the blower motor.  The bolts for the cover can rust and break off to so be carefull with them too.

If yours has them, you will see a plastic cap over the fill tube directly over the bearings at each end.  Remove the cap and fill with lite weight oil like 3-in1.  Be careful when removing the cap as age may make them brittle.  The fill tube can be pulled out to if not careful.  Real pain to get it back in. 

Should do this at the start of every camping season.  If your using the AC, last thing you want is the beaarings to freeze up.  Results in tripping your AC breaker.   If it does freeze, try lubing them first.  I just went through this one and was lucky I only had to lubricate them.  I do not know if later model ACs also have them.
