I would like to find out where the dial on the inside of my thermostat should be set at. I feel that the fan runs way too long after the furnace shuts down. I understand that it tries to wring every bit of heat out of the furnace but it takes a lot of amps. Can I control the amount of time that the fan runs after the furnace stops?
Thanx

No...Bigrock, That should be a factory set in the cycle....It's call the cool down cycle...Fan blowing cools all the parts....If you mess with it, it may throw off the whole cycle completely...Temp gets pretty hot inside that little box, this is also a safety factor, so it won't overheat any componants in the furnace....It should run on a cool down cycle somewhere betwwen 1 min and 2 min...if yours is a bigger 25,000 BTU's it may go for almost 3 minutes.
