19.5" to smaller Wheel options?
« on: June 27, 2020, 11:37 AM »
I have a 1985 Fleetwood Pace arrow with chevy 10lug 19.5" wheels, curious where I can find some smaller maybe 17" wheels to give me more affordable tire choice

All of the people with 17's are looking for a way to go to 19.5's. I also don't think you would find the weight range you need in 17 even if you found the 10 lug rims. And lastly the 17's would definitely not clear the brake rotors from the 19.5's. Maybe I am wrong but I thought the 17" truck tires were obsolete years ago and pretty hard to find?

From as many member question on tire size changes I can remember, and there have been very many, they've been found to go to 19" wheels and tires because of the difficulty of finding them and the expense.

So, this is new ground here.

I hope you'll get some direction on it.
You can also look at the topics of smaller to larger wheels/tires and take some of the info in reverse. Especially look at sources of smaller tires.
