After replacing the shower faucet and deciding not to try and seal it all back up with silicone, I purchased some tan 2" Eternabond tape. If it's designed to seal roof leaks I saw no reason why it wouldn't seal a shower stall.

If you don't mind and it don't leak then that is all that matters.
