did your original upper sit right under the AC mount plate then come out with a hard bend? I think I may have the number for you, I just went through an AC delete on mine, same chassis. I reused the mount plate and added an idler pulley mounted on a square tube tower. In doing so, i dug up a new upper hose from the storage bins that I believe has a napa number on it.

Hi and thanks for the reply!

Here is what it looked like after I removed the AC compressor.

Replacement hose I have is a CarQuest store hose, not sure when it was purchased. Hose # is 20907, store UPC code is 0 72053 32718 2. dead on replacement.

Short update.

The replacement belt held up fine so far. We put some thousand miles on it las summer.
I didn't even had to re-adjust.

When I'm done with rust removal on my '84 Suburban, it will be time to overhaul the old 440.
It didn't really want to pull and made bad rod nock noises in higher revs.
But that ist going to be happening in an other thread.

Greetings from Berlin,
