After gutting my recently aquire 73 Indian D24 I discovered a heater core in the back of the coach under the curb side bed with water lines running back to the engine and a switch mounted on the dividing wall in the Centre of the coach.  I assume this is to heat the back of the coach when travelling in cold weather.  Does anyone else have this?   Was it an option from winnebago or was it an aftermarket install?

My 91 has one, that year it was optional as a package along with the motor aid water heater (coil through the tank heats the water with engine coolant circulating while you drive). It works wonderfully, but as I have a 23' rig it seems having the rear heater, 34k BTU furnace, and heater built in the roof ac plus dash heat is quite a bit of overkill.

I also have one on my 89 Chieftain, along with the hot water option.

I have the book for my 1975 brave that shows all the options. I mean everything from clocks to phones. To ac units and that option is not in my book anywhere
