Your mention of "changing a tire" reminded me of a motor home (can't remember the make) that I looked at but didn't buy. The spare tire was slung under the back, pickup truck style. The problem was that a trailer hitch had been installed with the spare in place, and there was no way to get the spare off.

It's hitched up to a trailer, I wonder if someone is actually repairing it or if it is just a yard mule that they are also stripping for parts.
