I could not find any forum area to ask these questions. I hope to be going to see a 73  Chieftain 24C. I do have some photos and will be asking for more and the VIN. In the meantime:
Is there any other outside storage other than the rear compartment? Where do you keep hoses, extension cords, leveling boards,  tools, some basic parts, etc.
How is the glideaway front bunk designed. Is it a metal frame with scissor action on each side? Was the bunk an option? Are there any cupboards if no bunk?
Is the electrical a 30 amp system?
Is a rear ladder standard?
Where do you put your TV and maybe a small microwave?
We once had a 69 18 ft. but it is so long ago I have forgotten it! I do remember installing a fiberglass roof pod. I also remember that Winnies often had an aluminum roof pod that matched the siding. Was that a factory or custom option.

Thanks

Oz

The ladder (and roof rack) are factory options.
No other outside storage.
You can keep your hoses, etc in a storage box added on the roof or on a custom carrier added to the rear bumper (see these photos for ideas:  http://www.classicwinnebagos.com/forum/index.php?action=mgallery;sa=album;id=195 )
There are two sliding door storage compartments behind the "eyebrow" where the bunk is.
The bunk can be fold down, or scissors type.  No additional cupboards were put in place if the bunk was not included.
You can put a small TV in any number of places.  Same with microwave.  We had our Micro in an overhead cupboard above the sink.
The coach electrical is 30amp
The roof and siding were all aluminum.
