Title: Driver and passenger inside door handle needs replaced
Post by: Stefwx3 on June 25, 2020, 09:20 PM
My husband and I recently purchased a 1986 Winnebago. When we bought it we knew that the door handle and latch on the inside were missing and that the previous owner had bungee corded them shut. We are trying to fix up this motorhome but I cannot find where to get new door handles. I need the ones that go on the inside to open the door from the inside on both driver and passenger side. Is there anybody out there that can please help me?

Is this a class C ? if so then it would be the chassis manufacturer that supplied the handles and they should be easy to find

It’s a class A. I found a Winnebago junk yard that they part out other Winnies, but they don’t have the Elandon and I don’t think the chieftain would work after looking at the door handles.

To the best of my knowledge, there are only a handful of lockset types that were ever used on exterior entry doors...the main door to the coach.  Especially around 1986.

As far as the driver's door goes, that could be proprietary, or the coach manufacturer could have used any door handle made by the big manufacturers at the time (Ford, Dodge, Chevy, etc).

And your picture didn't upload.
