Not a bad idea!  Not a bad idea at all!  It wouldn't take TOO much capital to start up a vintage RV rental business...and you could slowly expand as you go (as you acquire more vintage RVs, fix them up, and add them to your "fleet.").

I'd say it's a bad idea from an economics perspective. This is a labor of love kinda thing. If you had to do it, it'd be 500 a day to break even after all the little repairs made, and items broken from use every trip, and a tow truck on call. In fact, you'd better also own a tow business!!   


not trying to knock it, but realistically sounds like headaches all around.

I have to agree.  You would have to keep the rigs in tip top shape, which would be expensive. And you'd need to charge a high price to attract only vintage RV lovers and not riff raff who would trash them.

And don't forget insurance, what insurance company in their right minds would insure that venture? Most of them do not even have seat belts!!! Let alone most of the rest of the required motor vehicle safety equipment required these days.
